Thank you for your story. I remember reading about the murder on gay-rights blogs, who of course had their own worries and biases concerning the outcome of the trial, but I hope the film reflects the complexity of the case, or perhaps I should say the humanity of everyone involved in it. It sounds like it might.

Saw the trailer before Django. I thought, "Wow, this is the most fantastically incompetent marketing campaign I've seen in a while," but now it looks like their efforts might have been downright heroic, given what they had to work with.

I don't know what possessed our instructor to show it in Japanese class, but nevertheless I'm thankful she did.
This is one of the ones that I keep on my mental list of films to stock a small-but-classy disc collection, once I get around to expanding it beyond "a handful of Wong Kar-wai DVDs". If what Mike says above is any indication, though, I might have missed my chance. I don't suppose there's a Blu-ray version…?
