Two things, and I haven't watched ahead so this is just my immediate reaction to having watched this episode and read this article: (1) I suspect there's no big secret as to where the 'good bunker' thing is going … Kimmy turned on the handsome college guy when he said he was going to be a reverend, so … good

YES! Indy 4 totally stole this ending.

IMO The Mummy Returns is FAR superior to each and every one of The Scorpion King movies. While the Mummy films are damn fun, the Scorpion King movies are pretty lousy overall.

Only children under the age of 10 are allowed to put ketchup on hot dogs.

That goddam movie bothers the hell out of me to this day. It's truly a genre masterpiece, but it's so damn ugly and nasty and unsettling that I hate it as much as I appreciate it.

See, here's my problem with this movie. I'm assuming you're probably in your early 30s, Darth Kidriss? So you were watching this movie on HBO in probably 1996ish, as what a 12 or 13 year old? I was 22 when it came out. So while you watched it as a child and wistfully believed that this is how teens and young

Bingo. I was born in '73 so was 22 when this came out. Presumably right smack in the middle of the target audience. I HATED it. And I don't recall any of my friends liking it. It was a bomb and it just tried too damn hard to be of the time that it was. It's "nostalgic" in quotes because it looks so "90s hip" in

IT'S SATIRE! It's exaggerated to the furthest point imaginable to make a broader point, which it does, quite effectively (and Gretchen SAID it two or three times): "it doesn't work the other way!"

I was CRYING laughing at the flashback. Had to do a few pause/rewinds on that. So brilliant.

I thought they did a fair job with Marnie on Girls, when she was shacked up in that tiny hovel. Beyond that, no.

Same here. My wife and I met literally 6 months or so before Tinder really took off.

Who knew that Aziz Ansari and crew had this in them?! This episode (and this season as a whole) is so wonderfully experimental and impressive. I've been blown away. And Tiya Sicar is fantastic.

Screaming for Vengeance is a great album. Bloodstone. The title track. Chains.
    Great stuff.

Well then today is a good day! Hellion/Electric Eye is Priest at their finest.

    oh heck yes

    indeed

I just posted this myself. "Dogs" is a masterclass in guitar work. His patience, his timing, the tone, just the whole feel of those solos. Goddam, so good.

I think people have come around on Knopfler in hindsight. He's a legit guitar god.

    spot ON

"Love in a Trashcan," and the Pretty in Black album in general, are way underrated.
