If Core Concept doesn't think Shaun, Hot Fuzz and The World's End are great movies, then I don't know where we can go from here.

I couldn't agree more. This is the comparison that I keep coming back to with this album.
Rickles was also a regular guest on the Howard Stern Show for many years, which I thought deserved a mention because for a long time Howard (who was always a big fan and was always quick to recognize Rickles' importance in the comedy world) was the ONLY one interested in giving him an audience. That's a shame because…
If it were covered in molasses?
Agreed. And the ending is straight up ballsy. It just is. It makes you work. You had to remember the bizarre detail of the earlier interview to give it context and understand it. And I'm sure half the audience didn't put it together right away. But that's why it was such a risk, and that is also why it's so…
This album has been my exclusively jam all week. Gets better with every listen.
jesus. that's some hardcore living, my friend
I feel like I'm reading a sixth-grader's first draft of a book report on the final episode. As usual, grammar errors dominate and distract from the review as a whole. But the review is all over the place despite the grammar errors. PLEASE can we get a proofreader?!
This is good stuff, and spot on. His last four albums were equally unfocused, but certainly with some gems scattered about. All worth a listen for historical value.
your schtick got boring fast
I listened to it all the way through this morning and to me it sounds like a great throwback to late 70s/early 80s metal, with some strong melodies and terrific solos. Really dug it.
I respectfully disagree with your take on Mastodon's new one. I'm loving it. Great throwback to early 80s metal, with some terrific solos. Solid, solid album.
Yep. I think if we can step back and put all of our biases aside (which I'll admit is nearly impossible), we would see the show runners masterfully play it right down the middle. But the comments here are filled with people taking sides, and offering valid and satisfying reasons why their side is the right side. …
Why do you think it's ok to put a spoiler in the comments to a mid-season episode? It just isn't cool, you know?
You are kind of a dick to include a spoiler in your comment about a mid-season episode.
The early 20s sucked?! But what about all the flappers and cigarette holders?
Lena was on Howard Stern last week and she told Howard exactly that … that Elijah writes most of the funniest things he says.
I think the line in response to "do you come from money" was "what do you mean by that?" His line reading was perfectly hysterical.
As per usual, ample grammar errors in Molly's review. What's new!
Spot on. It's just kinda … formless. What is the theme? Men are pigs? Is that it? I'm not even sure. It wasn't even clear to me that Suzanne was being driven by Russell in any meaningful way. I don't know. Wasn't great at all.
