I thought the first season or so of Flash managed to occasionally interact with the cast of Arrow without every guest appearance being a full blown crossover. It felt very much like a bunch of people who knew each other professionally helping each other out from time to time.

Todd's been talking about a Spawn 2 like this for about 20 years. Did he compare it to Seven, in terms of the tone he wants it to have? Because that was his go-to comparison in 1998.

The only wedding reception I've been to since 2006 never actually got around to the dancing.

A hook? With…shit on it?

Good question. At the very least I imagine the scale of money involved would be smaller. I think the real financial appeal is leveraging yourself into US film and TV after your run.

Same as Jack on LOST: He got drunk on vacation.

"When Lockjaw isn't on screen, the other characters should be asking, where's Lockjaw?"

Why is it so hard for TV and movies to do a decent job rendering Superman's "S"?

What little I remember of the original Stargirl comic was that it was Buffy with all the wit and clever stuff removed. The nasty queen bee at school really was a supervillain, etc.

In Doom's Latveria, time clobbers you!

Someone's going to write a nice book titled "Unpresidented" soon enough.

Olbermann was a lifeline during the 2002-2006 years.

But he could turn around, fly to Pennsyltucky or wherever, and announce "Folks, we did it. We repealed all the stupid parts of…OBAMACARE…and replaced it with stuff that works. Really, really excellent, high quality stuff. And I made those Democrats do it! Did you see Tim Kaine at that ceremony? I think he wanted

Oh, I don't think he'd ever ACTUALLY do that. It's just amazing to me, on one level, to watch him blow chance after chance after chance to actually get the things he claims to want.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a lesson each generation appears to need to learn anew every 16 years like clockwork.

I am utterly agnostic on this and have no plans to watch Grease 2 (or Grease 1, for that matter) any time soon - it's just entertaining that this particular contrarian wisdom has been kicking around for so long.

You'd think someone who fancies himself a great dealmaker would invite, I dunno, maybe some of the Democrats who proposed a set of ACA fixes back in 2014? And then see if a package that would win support from members of both parties and stabilize the state exchanges and address counties without carriers could be put
