Baby Pontifex's binge-watch of Doctor Who got to "The End of Time Part 1" yesterday and just the Obama stand-in and the reused Obama press conference audio gave me sads.

Oh, it's not that there have been no good ones, but for every Yesterday's Enterprise there's one where Troi and some bland dude get biz-zay, or Geordi gets stuck on Crapsack Planet. After hearing for years that season 3 is where it takes off I've just been surprised at the ratio.

D'Oh.

I only watched TNG intermittently and last year started with season 3, which is when everyone says it hits its stride. I am just past "Yesterday's Enterprise" and I'm not sure there have been more than three episodes that rise above the level of forgettable.

Jerks.

Except that the steady flow of hatred and stupidity emanating from the White House would slow to a trickle.

She went to Harvard for undergrad; her plan to go to Harvard Law was to keep her near Robert. She would have dropped his class so they could either date without having to report it to the appropriate offices, or so that reporting it would not endanger his job.

To be fair, we know nothing other than that Josh showed up and announced he wanted to become a priest. Season 3 might open with him scrubbing floors in a seminary, similar to the way Diane Chambers once did.

Let's not forget the UTI song.

…and they would decide it ruled!

He was pretty clearly one of her undergrad professors. And young enough that he may well have never spent much time around anyone outside academia.

I am very glad this show a) exists and b) has been renewed.

I am in my early 40s, so the 1983 setting, evoked to such an exacting degree and reinforced with 1983-style music and production, meant that the show looked and felt like the sort of stuff I was aware was a) out there and b) way too scary when it was actually 1983. It really gave the show an added layer of creepiness

I am 100% not sarcastic - my love for Pacific Rim is unbounded, and seeing it was one of the most joyful moviegoing experiences of my life.

It's GRIZZAPPLE!

Or the periodic web stories about how most of the first Iron Man movie was improvised.

Are they people who really, really, really hate Batman or something?

I am so glad we got Pacific Rim instead.

Imagine what she'll look like once she ages into the face she deserves.

You know, I'm honestly not sure. I'm sorry if I've given you a bad recommendation.
