Wasn't it for the benefit of the woman in pink standing next to the door too?

That may be, but that song was not his finest moment.

Mike still had one gun, the one Walt took out of his hand as he was dying.

I think Skyler only hated Jesse early on because she thought he was a bad influence on Walt and a threat to her family. She knows who the real threat is now.

You're probably right about Walt processing it intellectually and making it a point of pride. The glee when he was when he was bragging to Declan about being the man who killed Gus Fring was pretty amusing, and oddly pathetic. It's not winning a Nobel prize or running a billion dollar business but it's all he's got.

I thought of that too. That's the episode with Carrie Hamilton, one of my favorite X-Files episodes.

I thought that Walt was feeling the remorse. He actually apologized in a bizarre, self-absorbed, roundabout way. It's interesting to see how far he's fallen. When Tuco brutally killed his underling for an imagined slight Walt was horrified, and now he's done the same thing. He always thought he was above the criminal…

You didn't see the cut from Skyler walking away from the dinner table with her wine glass to Walt sobbing in Hank's office? It was hilarious because you knew why he was really there and that he was also pissed at Sky and making her look bad to Hank, a twofer.
