I was wondering that myself. All I can think is that when he was planning the story the likely limited lifespan of a person with advanced lung cancer was used to up the stakes.

I agree with you about the scene with Brock, it seemed odd to me, but it made me uncomfortable, so it worked. I didn't read his look as angry, i'm not sure what it was.

Yeah, I didn't really think they were boiling the teddy bear, it was more like "WTF am I looking at?" It was the exact same colors as the bear in the pool.

I agree it's a character moment, but I don't think Walt is unaware of the effect the movie is having on Skyler, I think it was chosen deliberately, he's punishing her and keeping her in line.

I've always been surprised at how tidy he keeps it (with his Roomba and all) when there aren't hobos and addicts camping in his living room.

It was more the last scene when Jesse told him about the breakup and he obviously didn't care and didn't even make the effort to pretend he did. Manipulating someone with the truth is still manipulation. Bryan Cranston is a great actor and when an actor plays a liar he needs to be a good liar or it's not believable…

Why would it make it difficult? Gus made the chemist in Mexico follow Jesse's orders. They're getting paid, the boss tells them to do something, they do it.

He means Steven Bauer, Don Eladio who ordered it.
I didn't feel that way until this episode. He's starting to make my skin crawl but I will be watching until they're done. I must know what happens.
