I've seen it twice in the last week and I don't remember scene that implied that Gus wanted to kill Jessie, on the contrary, he was being groomed to be the cook so that he could get rid of Walt. The only reason he didn't kill Walt immediately is because Jessie stood up to  him.  Am I forgetting something?

"Mike, like Gus, has an honest and endearing respect for Jessie and is arguably more of a father figure to him now than Walt ever was."

@Scrawler2:disqus also, I think up until the "I am the one who knocks" speech Skylar was under the impression that she could just manage things financially until Walt could retire and everything could go back to normal. She really did want him to get out from under, hence her urging him to turn himself in to say alive.

I wasn't crazy about Skyler the first 2 seasons, I think it was because the role of a clueless housewife doesn't really play to Anna Gunn's strengths as a performer. I could sympathize with the position the character was in but I couldn't warm up to the actress. She has an edge to her and it worked much better from

It always seemed kind of unlikely that he could take out Tuco and Fring, two exceptionally terrifying characters. I always assumed it was because he was an actual genius with his honorable mention certificate (or whatever it was) from the Nobel Prize committee.

It's not a reality show?

I disagree. If it had only been about providing for his family he could have taken the job and the money from his former partners and not put his family in danger and not pulled Jessie back into a life of crime when he was trying to go straight. It has always been about asserting his power after feeling powerless and

Neat, I didn't remember that, and I only watched it a couple of months ago. Good memory.
