Also, performing the trick creates a new duplicate every time. In order for him to get his fill of "the looks on their faces," he had to do the trick lots of times, which would have resulted in lots of duplicates if he hadn't been killing them. So it's that selfishness and desire for glory that corrupts him, too.

The one that bothers me the most is off-brand search engines and social networks. The incessant Bing mentions on The Vampire Diaries can be annoying, but if they were all "I looked this guy up on Looksies" or whatever the fuck, that would be way worse to me.
