It technically doesn't count because it was released in December of 2014 and thus after pretty much every year end list was released but I feel like PRhyme deserves a lot more recognition as I thought it was the best hip-hop album released in 2014. Royce and Premier together for an entire album was just so fucking

I mean I had to look his name up but I liked his solo tracks enough that I know who Martin Doherty is now, so that doesn't sound like someone who is "actively trying to overshadow her band-mates" (not that that was every anything more than a bullshit excuse to somehow justify saying misogynistic things). She shouldn't

Honestly, I've been a huge Kendrick fan since Section.80 and while I can appreciate how good of an album TPAB is it has almost zero replay value for me. I played the absolute hell out of Section.80 and GKMC but I really almost never feel the need to revisit TPAB and that isn't just entirely because of the deep and

WELL SHE REALLY SHOULDN'T BE TAKING THE ATTENTION OFF OF THE OTHER TWO MEMBERS OF THE GROUP ONE OF WHOM HAS ENTIRE SONGS WHERE HE GETS TO SHOWCASE HIS INCREASING VOCAL TALENT WITH THOSE COME HITHER SKIRTS!

People who are dismissing FKA Twigs are seriously missing out.

I'm still waiting with baited breath for Frank Ocean's album to be released. I'm starting to feel a bit like Bart at Kamp Krusty: "Frank Ocean's new album is coming…Frank Ocean's new album IS coming!"

I was excited when I initially saw the cast with people like Dunst, Plemons, Danson, Offerman, Wilson and Culkin but some of the actors/actresses I wasn't familiar with like Bokeem Woodbine, Jeffrey Donovan and Jean Smart have been fantastic as well. There really hasn't been a weak performance to speak of and the

"You have two fishes in the sandwich?"
"Yeah but they blend very well together."
"They're like siamese twins, whitefish and sable…there may be some capers, I'm not sure, if you don't like 'em you can brush 'em off, that's not a big deal."
"That sounds AWFUL!"

It's hard for me to pick a favorite track because I really, really like every song on that album except for "SCREAM".

I had so much hype for Summertime '06 after Staples' mixtapes (especially Stolen Youth and Shyne Coldchain Vol. 2) and his many features but ended up being really disappointed by it. I'm surprised with how much love it's getting as I've seen it on pretty much every year end list it really just did not click with me at

It was so great to hear a new (or I guess "previously unreleased" would be more accuurate) Pimp C verse for the first time since his death 8 years ago on "Wavybone".

Jamie XX's is a bit inconsistent but the highs are so high to me ("Loud Places" and "I Know There's Gonna Be Good Times" are both probably in my Top Ten songs of the year) that I feel that it's justified.

As a fan of Kanye's entire body of work minus Yeezus I feel confident in saying that Kendrick Lamar is 100 times the MC Kanye is or ever was. Hell, Vince Staples is a better rapper from a lyrical standpoint than Kanye too. His lyrics have always been the weakest part of his albums so it's pretty unfair to call them

1. Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
2. Tame Impala - Currents
3. CHVRCHES - Every Open Eye
4. Grimes - ArtAngels
5. Beach House - Depression Cherry
6. Miguel -Wildheart
7. Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell
8. Jamie xx - In Colour
9. Alabama Shakes - Sound & Colour
10. Travi$ Scott - Rodeo

They're not getting a whole lot of love on the majority of these year end lists but Every Open Eye is my most played and favorite album of the year. I think I like it even more than The Bones of What You Believe and I fucking LOVE that album.

Happy to see Sufjan and Grimes so high but Tame Impala should absolutely be in the Top 15.

That's true and Matt and Nora's episodes were my two favorite from Season 1. Maybe the addition of the Murphy's makes it feel less "Durst centric" but I like Jill and Tommy's characters a lot more this year and the fact that Laurie is talking and not a member of the GR helps as well.

Forgetting the cinder block and the rope is pretty egregious. They've made mention of it several times and the fact that Kevin genuinely tried to kill himself in the pond has been a huge plot point of the season, Patti even came out and said it in one scene. Not sure how the reviewer let that slip his mind.

And the brief scene of Evie and her two friends running naked through the woods from the premiere.

Haha Mac: Yeah, in that movie Matt Damon played a genius janitor. You’re just a janitor.
