I saw that too. Wasn't great, but it was funny and she definitely shows promise.

Really? I thought the trailer made the plot pretty darn obvious. But who really cares, since this movie looks as bad as Rabin says.

Ah, thanks. Yes, they were definitely not in Soho for the exterior shots.

I love Sell Out too.

Well, now I've been listening to The Who all morning on Spotify. Face Dances definitely seems very "Pete Townshend, featuring The Who", you're right. I still like a good deal of the songs on that album.

Well, there are only about 14 songs on the album, so 9 out of 14's not a bad ratio. I only like about 6 or 7 of the songs on Face Dances.

Well, I LOVE the instrumental on the first disc - the title song. I actually find "The Rock" to be less interesting, musically, and it always slows things down for me right when I feel they should be ramping up.

Hey, this was the episode where they filmed (partially) in one of the hotels my company owns! Diana said that Alex was staying in the Affinia, which my company also owns, but the actual interior of the lobby/hallways was The James Soho. (I'm pretty sure that the interior of the penthouse was not the actual penthouse

Interesting. Just based on personal experience, I always got the impression that Who's Next and Quadrophenia were the two "best" Who albums, ie, everyone's favorites.

I carry it behind this bleeding little badge.

But still, Russell's Tommy is not the Tommy that Townshend originally created. Russell added lyrics and changed lyrics to suit his own vision. It's a fun movie, but it's Russell's Tommy, not The Who's Tommy.
