He was very heterosexual. He told me about how he used to bring dates to A Chorus Line in the '70s, and after they saw the show, they'd gush about how they loved it, and he'd lean in and say, "I wrote that, baby." (When he told that story, it was hilarious.)

The Goodbye Girl was unfortunately scuttled by Bernadette Peters' diva behavior - she was upset that Martin Short was getting all the laughs, and so forced Neil Simon and the director to build up the comedy in her role. Obviously, this left the show with no grounded center for the audience to relate to.

Well, I wouldn't give it a B+ - I just didn't think that bedroom scene between Michelle and Connor worked very well, the way it was written/acted. Obviously, an important moment, but it just didn't work for me. But I too am surprised at the C+, since I loved Boo's and Fanny's plotlines. Especially Boo's.

I will also miss the Leverage reviews! Although admittedly, there's not as much to talk about with this show. But it's such a fun, breezy pleasure. This and White Collar are my "fun" shows.

Love the bear scene. But the movie would be darker (and much better) if Chief had been killed by the train, as originally planned. If only the execs hadn't interfered…

Yep, those were McDonald's happy meal toys, if I recall correctly.

Good to hear!

Yep, and yep. I was going to try to work a joke about that into my original comment, but I felt kind of lazy so I didn't.

@LetoII:disqus Overdrawn at the Memory Bank to me is right up there with The Final Countdown, in that they always make me laugh, without fail.

Well, that's fine, but I just don't really find much to enjoy in Rescue Rangers or Darkwing Duck. And the latter is especially jokey, to the point where I might say it is gag-based. RR seems to want to be more action/adventure, but the writing just isn't very good.

The Celery Stalks at Midnight has to be the best title of any book ever. I think my mom bought it for me just because every time she looked at the cover, she laughed.
