It probably sort of is…. plus Berlin has such a large homosexual community so there's that. They're probably bored with these exhibits by now.

I think I buy half of what you're selling here: yes, it's a generational statement and we are the "dumbest generation", but I think they know it. They have to! It's so cliche, it's gotta just be a statement about how cliche 20somethings are. You couldn't write so well and not realize your overall plots and ideas are…
Please don't tell me there will always be a gap between who I am and who I think I should be… Truth hurts, man.
Yup, but only because it was a shitty remake of The Lady Vanishes and the second best airplane thriller of 2005. Redeye, anyone?
@avclub-c1bac1d55ebcc415d61552acbfbb219d:disqus You're absolutely right and I was wrong to suggest it. Man, either I really misread Inside Job or that movie is totally whack. Now having read some of Michael Lewis, I lean towards both.
I heard Joel Osteen use it in a "sermon".
@avclub-fe667cc638187e2a2ed9661c0b94f457:disqus It's naive to simply blame the financial crisis on rich people, which is not what I meant when I said Bernanke profited, poorly worded as my quip may have been. There's a lot of different things that affected peoples' trust in the market.
I agree, the writers think they can casually introduce a devastating drug addiction that once landed their character in rehab and expect everything to be fine.
I think they've all done pretty well with the characters they've been given. Allison Williams has never bothered me that much nor Mamet's excessive 1-dimensionality (which is so bad on the writers' part that it's almost impressive).
Drugs are nothing bunt trouble.
He's the chairman of the Federal Reserve overseeing recovery from the financial crisis, for which he's paid a lot of money.
Fuck, she was amazing in the fight scene. Say what you will about any controversy with this show, they've assembled a great cast of actors.
Didn't catch that they were from scratch, just thought that was a hilarious delivery.
1) I know barely anything about hard drugs. Can you really snort heroin? Judging from pulp fiction, I thought that was a BAD idea…
Speaking of Eartha Kitt, I was on an airplane this one time…
I'm still sincerely hoping for a Boobarella spin-off. http://www.youtube.com/watc…
@avclub-f121d09285898f1c66d66f1e6f0455a6:disqus Correct. Their marketing scheme was pretty hush-hush which built a lot of hype. Then they went gangbusters just a few weeks before it opened and it became the biggest opening weekend up till then. I bet Star Wars will be more overt as it will be hounded after on the web…
@avclub-13cd762222c50c46919c328c3dbf87b3:disqus I agree with you to an extent: Marnie isn't an airhead, she just might have been the smartest girl among all her friends at Oberlin, leading to an inflated view of herself (compared to Hannah, who will just have an inflated view of herself no matter what). It just seems…
They were pretty tight-lipped about Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and that paid dividends.
Did anyone notice that the NBC logo pin looked like an everlasting gobstopper? Amazing…
