but roger is also prone to feeling butthurt, and in the last episode, joan not only rejected roger's money (which has worked wonders for him with everyone else in the office), but also received flowers from a mysterious suitor (don, but roger doesn't know that). if his money is not good enough for her — but she's…

i agree. the implication was that joan only went through with it only because she believed the vote to be unanimous (and she respects don above all the other partners). if even don wanted her to do it, how could she say no?

i've been very amenable to that prospect all season long, but i'm pretty sure it's going to be lane who meets an untimely death…

i know. "It’s unclear why Edelstein’s comeback failed to materialize — for instance, was she actually asked back? And, if so, did negotiations end before they began? Reps for Fox and Edelstein declined to comment."

i agree that her recent style choices (basically everything since rock steady — so i guess not that recent!) have been a little OTT, but she's still gorgeous. http://userserve-ak.last.fm…
not the master recordings (album versions). the prisoner used versions from bbc sessions, which are much easier to license (doesn't require the approval of the artist necessarily, only the publisher — sony/atv — and the owner of the master recording, in this case, the bbc)
@thomasrhys:disqus commercials typically have a larger licensing budget than a single episode (and sometimes season) of a tv show ever will, the idea being that the commercial/song will sell the product in the ad (thus paying for the cost of the song).
Crossing my fingers!
