Yeah, this actually was kind of fun. I only switched over because I was sick of the Office and didn't quite feel like turning off the TeeVee. I was mildly amused for 45 minutes. It won't become a regular viewing for me, but it was lightweight and cute enough that I'll catch it once in a while and completely forget

I do have to wonder … the joke about women's hell and aroused dog heaven, that was a bestiality joke right? I laughed for a second and then cocked my head and sort of went, "huh?"

There's no shame in that. It's an odd thing to contemplate - I have to assume that at some point she had questions about his possible guilt and then somehow convinced herself of his innocence. But making a life (as you said, of sorts) with someone who is behind bars has got to be a daunting undertaking.

*golf clap*

"Weather whirligig" is going into my back pocket for the next departmental meeting.

You sure it's your BRAIN stem that's talkin'?

LIKE!

I dunno. The Melvin Gibbs / Chris Haskett lineup was good. Come In & Burn is a downright decent album.

I didn't find Let It Burn completely objectionable, but it sure didn't get a lot of repeat listens from me.

I bought Double Nickels and Zen Arcade at the same time. Boy was that one awesome fucking weekend.

That sounds awesome.

He was interviewed on Hang Up & Listen and I have to admit, the guy is pretty funny. I haven't read any of his writings, but I am intruiged enough to give it a shot. I don't think it's nearly as bitter and unpalatable as the title or review implies.

Shit. I got 15 but I can't believe I whiffed on Get Carter. I'm not proud that I knew Poseidon Adventure.

According to IMDB, the working title was the Steam Experiment. Depending on how sexy those singles were, could also have been the Steamy Experiment! Eh? Eh?

On which count? Rage's suckitude or Drive-In's awesomeness?

I haven't tried it yet, but I am anticipating it. I think this is the first real criticism I've heard. I hope I can get into it … BTW, has anyone listened to it as opposed to reading it? I wonder if this is prime audiobook material.

I suspect the one with the soul patch. No, not THAT guy, the OTHER guy! With the soul patch! And the tailored suit! Just shoot someone!

This may be the year that I start Vineland for the fourth time. I kind of love the beginning but flame out about a third of the way in …

I was surprised by how much I liked Wonder Boys. I am kind of working backwards through Chabon's books and only have Mysteries left to go. In some ways they get more accessible (and personal?) as you go backwards, but I loved the hell out of Yiddish Policeman's Union.

Jill Ireland was not much of an actress, but she was pretty damned hot. I'll bet she got her fair share of moustache rides.
