Like a boss.
Falling Man is definitely problematic in places, but it beats the shit out of Foer. Actually, I haven't read Foer's, but I feel confident that my statement holds.
Yeah, it's pretty obviously the most acomplished show on TV right now. And I refuse to acknowledge a world that does not validate my opinion.
*Rim Job*
See one of the above threads for a conversation regarding this exact inane detail!
Mark Hamill was probably ecstatic at being unavailable. In retrospect of course.
Wow. I would … what's the phrase … watch the fuck outta that!
Strange. I guess I need to read "what's on tonight" more often. I saw the "sexy Latina detective" and assumed this was a rerun for some reason. But it sounds like missing this was not a problem. I enjoyed this show periodically but they're doing their best to make sure I don't miss it when it's gone.
Oh God, "The Year of Magical Thinking" is a book that I would recommend, but not to just anyone. It is magnificently written and wonderfully felt but searing is exactly the right word for it. I didn't quite see the world in the same way after I read it.
Funny enough, Tuesday is one of my 'drinkin' nights'. That may explain my affection for this show.
Jay Leno? Is that you?
While we're on the subject, Nicola Griffith's Slow River is fantastic. She's not a sci-fi writer exclusively, but this novel qualifies.
Oh Yeah. I'd forgotten about the Gaiman story. I most remember Reynard from the Magician King where Grossman uses him as a pretty terrifying 'trickster'.
No shit. This really looks like Transformers 4.
Strangely I would absolutely recommend this podcast to anyone now. Although I would suggest they skip all of them except for the ones on Punisher, The Room and this one. When they have someone from the movie there, it is amazing. The rest are enjoyable but utterly disposable.
Agreed with Bourdain and (earlier) Henry Rollins who I supose you can consider a sometime comedian. But I think Cranston and Jon Hamm were just making the podcast rounds as Cranston was on Nerdist and Hamm was on both Nerdist and Doug a couple times.
Grimm better be wearing a damn jaunty hat!
Oh man, you have my sympathy. We had one of those dishwashers on rollers at our last place and unless they have seriously improved in quality, they suck. And take up a bunch of space. And suck.
So, he should have won for Tiptoes?
