I wouldn't want to live in any world that O'Connor presents. She always seems to be talking about a place where God has turned his eyes away. She probably would disagree, but the ever-present pain and ugliness just seem to reinforce that theme.

I love egg salad. It's like a party in my mouth and everyone's throwing up!
If I had my druther, Nathan Fillion would be destined for a 're-boot' of They Live. Kickin' ass and chewin' gum baby. In magic sunglasses!
I do love Jerry Jeff Walker. I now associate him with the story Todd Snider told about how Todd became a singer. "Hey, if THAT guy can do this, so can I!"
More like Everybody's Poop: the Chuck Berry story, starring Cuba Gooding Jr.
Well, it is his character. I don't believe I'm seeing the real Gordon Ramsay any more than I believe Wayne Brady would choke a bitch. The New Yorker profile a couple years ago was an insight into his true character. I still don't watch him though. On the shows he just seems like a dick.
NCIS: Gordon Ramsay's house.
Yeah, a coffin full of weaponry is pretty fracking cool.
Hiyoo! Holocaust reference.
Young, Sean.
She was pretty well cast in TSCC due to her affect-less delivery. Quite the fetching cyborg! She still didn't have much to do though.
Good question. As I don't have cable, I never would have been turned on to BSG had NBC not re-run the mini-series during the summer. They are a network with multiple personality disorder.
I saw this in a college class called Middle Ages on Film. The prof followed it with The Holy Grail the following week. Talk about a jarring transition. Both great though.
All the sound effects will be done by Seth Green's mouth.
I just want the time spent watching this trailer back.
Wait, which one is he again?
Masta - I too remain unconvinced. I actually find his style of writing to be affected and removes me from the story. But I cannot deny the power he is capable of.
With attempted dog rape, I'd guess this scores pretty high.
Hairy, I agree with your point, for the most part. The Road to a large extent, seems to me a distillation of McCarthy's various obessesions and ideas about the basic cruelty of humanity. By this point he does not even see the need for names (of people or places).
McCarthy's writing seems to hold the reader at a distance, just a bit. I have the feeling that I may find the movie even more harrowing than the book. I'm sure it will be powerful, but I too am taking a pass.
