What was the most recent high-profile site redesign that was received well? I actually liked the previous AVClub redesign… this, not so much.
Let's be like Slate, where every comment thread after the redesign was I HATE THIS SITE.
Yeah… those 4 pic boxes take up the entire initial screen, plus they're repeated 3 more times down the entire page. Meanwhile, the Newswire headlines are buried until you scroll.
It's way better than the Slate redesign (if that's what we're comparing it to). I liked the color-coded review section, and the Newswire section is fine. It started awful — that music montage (and song) was probably the most pretentious thing this show has done in a long while. But I liked the self-contained nature of it, and if only the Governor didn't have a shitty backstory, this would've been a taut little stand-alone film.
Agreed. The third season was nearly flawless. And I can die happy knowing the cliffhanger ending will be resolved.
