I understood the dance to be about an addict, not someone in the process of becoming addicted.  Looked at that way, Cole's performance was spot on:  Addiction is controlling.  Once you're stuck, you're stuck.  The fun part—the seduction—ends, and you're just a prisoner.

A nasty desire to win could also come into play.  Traditionally, having won, the victor then redumps his or her damaged prize.

Yes and yes.  His endless intro on presenting his dish was justifiable cause for murder, too.  Lorena went on and on, too (and as a pair they are deafening), but she doesn't bother me half as much he does.  I also approve of her "eh, we all end up dead anyway; might has well appreciate what we can in the meantime"

That guy making fun of the critics was the best part of the show.  The guests seemed like they'd have enjoyed their lunch a lot more if it hadn't been  crowded out by all the awkward and forced reverence being shoved down their throats.

    God, this season is boring.

I'd go for a show with Kenzi and Monroe.

I thought she seemed a little avid when she first asked about them, but then she told Nick so off-handedly to hide them again when the hunt for the Mauvais Dents guy began that my hopes for  her villainy were shaken.
