I don't know for sure that they wanted us to think Carl crossed a line. His take down of Rick later made me wonder if he is becoming a sociopath, or if he is  just adapting to the world as it is now.  And I think that was the intent.

"I thought you said that plan was the last resort?"
"That was before we knew all of our other plans were terrible."

It's funny, I never realized until these reviews that was Louie CK, but I distinctly remember really liking that vocal performance, even when I first watched it years ago.  You just instantly like Andrew, even though you have no real reason to.

I was so disgusted with the opening scenes of the show I kind of tuned out for the rest of the episode.  I agreed the writing was lazy, or maybe just "awful," for the following reasons.

Hey, watch it, he's never even *looked* at another guy before!

I haven't really been checking in here after the season premier, because honestly y'all were giving me the hives.  But after several episodes, I also agree that things have been well and truly "off."

Yes and no.  I did OKCupid when I moved to a new city, and I found it kind of worked great for finding friends.  It's really easy to find people with the same interests as you, which is almost always enough to spark a friendship, if not a  romantic relationship.

Agreed.  I feel that in general, the internet has just made us all meaner.  It kind of depresses me sometimes.  Especially when it results in inexplicable snowballs of hate, like what is happening with Anne Hathaway.  "She could be kind of annoying in interview sometimes," should be like the absolute strongest anyone

I completely agree, his character is so frustrating to me.  I thought he made sense up until Maggie.  Before then, he was portrayed as someone who was unhinged, but followed an internal logic.  He had specific ideas of what would keep Woodbury safe, and though I would never date him, I could follow the thought process.

I dunno, the actual woman being called out didn't seem to mind, as they agreed to film pre-taped reaction shots.  I thought it was one of the more enjoyable Oscars in awhile, and I generally don't like McFarlane.

Amen.  I enjoy our commenting time together, AV Club, but it looked like Crazytown on that review last night.  It was one episode.  One perfectly serviceable episode of Community, by any measure.

I recently heard "Going to Go Back There" after a rough break up, and realized that it was, in fact, one of the most amazing break up songs ever written, even if that wasn't exactly its intention.

I also enjoy  both artists.  Love Today, in particular, always reminded me of a Muppet song.  When I hear it, I picture Miss Piggy singing it.  Especially, "Love, love, me!"

HEY!  Blimpies has pickles cut lengthwise, and they put them on the sandwich diagonally.  So every bite has pickle in it.  That's how much they care.

Every time a Gerard Butler movie comes out, I am so very confused about Gerard Butler.  What is appealing or attractive about this man?  He has nice teeth, I guess?

I would just like to say, as a moderate wuss, that I did not find the violence in Django to be all that gratuitous. I actively noticed Tarantino cut away when the awful things were happening to the slaves, and only lovingly filmed the blood spray when it was happening to the bad guys.  Terrible, terrible things

@twitter-499832989:disqus  Tarantino will win a make up Oscar in 20 years, when he's released a merely competent film re-imagining the crystal soda craze of the 90's.  He will rob the rightful winner, a fresh new voice who just created what will be come his magnum opus and a stone cold classic film that will be

I don't really dig on Burton's Batman anymore either, though I can't really explain why.  It seems really dated now, and I don't think its just the Prince soundtrack, which was an odd choice for Batman in any decade.  (Also, I secretly love it).

I think the show did deal with the "price of fame" though, but perhaps against it's will.  I watched a couple episodes this season and I was bummed at how sober and depressing it was.  Situation in rehab.  Vinny dealing with depression.  Snookie grappling with doing one more season/paycheck, vs. the wisdom of actually
