I agree. Things have gotten more familiar. They've moved away from doing a lot of things in the workplace to a lot of outside activities. The people don't really even work together any more (or aren't seen working together), so many episodes are "the gang all gets together for…" which gets tedious.

The book of Job in the Bible is pretty much the same way. Guy has a good/normal life, God takes it away, misery and lamentations, and at the end, oh yeah he gets everything back. Guess the format goes back a ways.

I'm only back for Season 9, which has been alright, because I quit Season 8 in disgust. Helps that some of the characters that were going nowhere (Ryan, Kelly, Gabe) have been put to sleep.
