@avclub-ea93d61158b479315c8e0d4cd003ec35:disqus Agreed about TBYOOL. I think it is a devastating film, especially when considering the time in which it was made. I'm of an age where my grandparents fought in WWII, and my maternal grandfather was badly injured during the Battle of the Bulge. He could never walk through…

Unforgiven is my favorite film, without question.
@avclub-230e46d19fe78a6c8dc715659a7188d7:disqus This scene sums up all that is good and evil about this film. Oldman is just fucking awesome, the cinematography is awesome, everything is great, except for Keanu's fucking voice.

+1 for Jesse James. That film has done nothing but get better and better to me as time goes by.
Speaking of Man with a Movie Camera—If you get the chance to get a hold of it, the Cinematic Orchestra wrote and performed a score to that film. It's pretty awesome, and it adds to the experience (or, at least, I don't think it ruins anything, and their music is pretty great).

Who are those pleasant old men?
It's BTO. They're Canada's answer to ELP. Their big hit was TCB.

That's how we talked in the '70s. We didn't have a moment to spare.

The sentence "Louis smokes pot with his crazy neighbor Josh Hamilton" makes so much sense to me as a baseball fan, it almost takes my breath away.
