Don't worry @disqus_SHv8DoYfkF:disqus . I know what that is.

That's the second time today someone's threatened to disembowel me!
I'm sorry! I love Marlowe, and I hesitate to have any negative opinions (or opinions at all really, I'm quite timid), but I always felt like Edward II is a bit of a mess? That's well served by having about 60% of its dialogue excised? And only keeping the really good poetry bits? No?
This was heartwarming
Go see Jarman's version, I think you can find it on youtube.
" The whole show has been about how this one clever man overcomes the most insurmountable obstacles."
Not according to Vince Gilligan…
The latest BBC version of Richard II - with Ben Whishaw - is a pretty fucking incredible place to start. Its up right now on the PBS website, with a reasonably good player. Whishaw got a well-deserved BAFTA for it.
That would actually be an awesome Gateways to Geekery. I'm prepared to get all worked up in the comments section for that.
I feel that way too, but that may be my Jesse-bias showing.
The scary was that it wasn't evil - it was shyly proud. Like he was showing his mom a picture he made in school. Creepy mofo.
Todd? Lydia? Uncle Jack? Sort out your priorities!
He could've pretended it was a custody battle. Or just waved the money.
I teared up, not at her death, but at Jesse's horrifying sobs.
FUCK TODD!
But yeah, good observations. He's a scary ass psycho.
Fuck you, Todd!
(I'm just going around and saying this as much as possible, wherever it's remotely relevant. I have strong feelings about it.)
Yeah, fuck Sorkin. But also Todd. Just, fuck you, Todd.
But… no. Please?
I found Whishaw's Richard to be absolutely gripping - appalling and deeply sympathetic in equal measure.
Ben Whishaw.
Oh my god. Thank you.
