Ok, I posed the question, is there a large segment of minorities and women who are into this subculture and they feel they are being excluded? If so, how?

As someone who isn't a big sci fi, fantasy, or comic book fan how would you do that? Maybe other races are not interested in that kind of fandom. I've been to Rush concerts where I've counted the number of women on one hand. How can Rush be more inclusive of women, when most women don't care for Rush?
