Just trying to make a dumb self effacing joke.

Sheet!

According to my mother, when she was pregnant with me, I was on the pro-abortion watch list.

The film was perfectly cast, and I love Altman, somehow it didn't quite work, and I'm not sure why.

I don't get it

I grew up Catholic, went to Catholic grade school, high school, and college. Read everything by Graham Greene, James Joyce, and watched virtually every film by Scorcese, Pasolini, Ferrara, etc, and I can't even tell you what "Catholic guilt" is or means.

Yes! Whatever happened to her? Loved her in Sirens and Brassed Off!

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and sometimes a shitty movie is just a shitty movie.

I don't know, I saw it years ago on opening night, when I still had a healthy sense of humor and irony, hoping to expect either a guilty pleasure lurid, sleazy melodrama or a campy Beyond the Valley of the Dolls satire and was bored to death by it.

For those of us over 35, MTV used to shove this guy down our throats. And check out the Ben Stiller cameo in the beginnning:

There's a Ted Hughes "The Jaguar" pun in there somewhere but I'll be damned if I can put it together.

As a non Packer fan, I used to really like Rodgers. I felt bad the way Favre treated him and what happened to him on draft day. Over the past few years I think he is the most exciting player to watch. But lately it's kind of dawning on me that he is kind of a dick. Most people probably already knew this.

Was that William Blake or Jeff Blake?

Actual quote from John Madden on Troy Aikman: "Now here's a guy who, when he puts his contact lenses on, can see better. Without his contact lenses he won't be able to see as well, and maybe he won't be able to hit his receivers on time."

Ha ha ha! Only in New York!

The book store lady who wouldn't let George return the book he took to the bathroom

My favorite story of someone turning down a role - Burt Reynolds turned down the Jack Nicholson role in "Terms of Endearment" to do "Stroker Ace".

I was under the impression that "Moana" was a "Who's the Boss" porn parody.
