I got a kick out of the reference to the "New Scotland Liberation Front," but I'm a huge language nerd.  The idea of Nova Scotia seceding and then calling itself New Scotland because fuck Latin makes me giggle.

@avclub-e14267dedd4e1d0cc0093bc13643fd59:disqus , you are a silly guy.

That's kind of what racism is.  You're thinking more specifically of racial bigotry.  Racism is a system of many manifestations, all of which have the general end of perpetuating social and economic inequality patterns.

"Underappreciated rich people and their choo-choos" would be an excellent summary line for Atlas Shrugged.  It's all anyone needs to know, really.

Because that would have been TOO dirty.

Human sexuality is much too diverse to apply such narrow, normative standards.  Especially when it comes to something as tender and intimate as putting it in her belly button.

Whether it's an innie or an outie should make some difference, I think.

A barrister is much like a barista, except that the barrister serves you coffee while wearing a powdered wig.

The whole abdication crisis took place a little too early for me to buy that there's a possibility of conspiracy related to getting Edward out of the way for the war.  Not that that would stop a conspiracy theorist, but still…

Disregarding how explicit the language may be, hasn't Axl got plenty of songs to that effect?

At least it got them out of the way when World War II came around.  I shudder to think how the two of them might have acted toward Germany if they actually represented Britain as heads of state.

I didn't, but I actually took a class about the veneration of saints in Medieval Europe.  So, I guess I had a head start.

Well, Mitt Romney's skin does have very little pigment.

Lots of people spell it as "hoe," from what I can tell.  There seems to be a lack of consensus among people who use it casually.  And since it isn't a "standard" word, there's really no authority to weigh one way or another.

Much as I shake my head at this "project," I did find myself looking at that Silk Spectre cover for quite a while…

I agree with @avclub-884c4beddd8c98bb3b016bdfcc1bcdf8:disqus .  It's one thing to reimagine and recontextualize an author's work, and another to simply write sequels and prequels that are intended to be seen as part of the original work.  The first can be judged solely on the merits, but the second has to overcome the

I love it when life mirrors memes.

I for one have been gracefully combining the two for the better part of my adult life!

Thanks for clarifying.  Didn't mean to jump on you personally, it's just a sensitive issue.
