Our TV watching jobs?

Dangerous Liaisons meets the Tudors?

America runs on delusions of grandeur.  It's why we do just about everything we do; we're just crazy enough to believe our own bullshit.

You know I'm down.  I'll bring my shillelagh!

Again, you're conflating two different arguments.  His beef against Nickleback is music-based.  His beef against the indie scene is class-based.

No, you aren't.  But that's not at all what I'm talking about.  This is about the relationship between this band and other contemporary bands, and how they see themselves in relation to one another.  These are concerns that are entirely valid to them, and to us as an extension of the relationship between social groups

A sunflower from the garden?

Things like this go deeper than the mere fact of dollars.  There is a cultural difference between making it big from humble beginnings, and enjoying success from a position of relative privilege and comfort.  They breed different priorities, perspectives and assumptions, and it is those factors that they are really

If you listen to certain people long enough, you get the impression that's the only reason women have abortions.

And thus, the track missed out on record book immortality, and Stevie Wonder was condemned to obscurity.  A damn shame.

And Ron Paul is very disappointed in you, @avclub-404bfdece06f0fc5ba56bef1e19d8896:disqus .

Ron Paul is the best argument I've ever seen for repealing the 26th amendment.

I'M MEETING YOU HALFWAY, YOU STUPID HIPPIES!

I guess he really is just that self-absorbed.

But doesn't it become less appealing as one thing if it's used too often as the other thing?

Sure, the fact that Lois and Peter have shown almost zero interest in Meg would lead you to think they'd let her do whatever when she turned eighteen.  And the fact that they appear outraged and motivated to stop her and Quagmire appears to be inconsistent with that previous characterization.
