The real lesson is…
…never try to teach anybody else a lesson. That said, this is one of my favorite episodes of Community yet: plenty of call-backs and character development, some really weird and surreal stuff in the pillow fort (Britta!)—which I thought was going to take a Kauffman-esque turn for a while—and

Oh, this Moriarty was friggin' genius. His range is pretty admirable, and he actually pulls off both confident mastermind and fragile sociopath—often with the same take. I'm not sure how else they could have introduced this sort of character — if he's not playful, if he's not sinister, if he's not reverse-Sherlock,

Not Stone, but Prime Suspect
Yeah, that whole "I didn't realize what my husband was ACTUALLY doing, or couldn't acknowledge/face it" is right out of Prime Suspect. Which was *SO*1993.

Error.
Error.

Just to be clear, I totally wasn't advocating for Castle or 5-0 to be covered. I am very glad that Human Target will get some coverage, though. I think it's very undervalued, and has huge potential, especially now that it's growing its cast and moving into a sophomore season.

Really?
Why is this show still on/still being covered? It hardly ever gets above a C and it pales in comparison to pretty much every other cop show out there, including Hawaii 5-0 and Castle, neither of which are covered here. Is it just the star power? In any case, I sincerely hope you'll consider at least covering

To be fair, though, most network shows (and pretty much all comedies) treat character that way, both in order to remain episodic and in order to make syndication easier. Skip episodes of House, Nikita, Gossip Girl, 90210, Life Unexpected, Lie to Me, Human Target, CSIs, NCISs, Hawaii 5-0, &c.—even Parenthood, which

It was also that they finally gave Finn's side of the whole "homophobia" issue some breath. There's a right way and a wrong way to do things, and it's important to note that both Finn and Kurt were in the wrong. Homophobia does not give you carte blanche to sexually harass someone.

The "KEEP PUCK IN JUVIE" meme starts here! As does the inevitable slash-fiction.

Puck
I'm assuming Puck wasn't in the episode because it would've messed up the duet breakdown; budget/scheduling might have been secondary. (I don't think Glee is hurting in the money department.) And yeah, I didn't miss Lynch either, though she rocked SNL. (And yeah, Raising Hope started to stick with "Dream

Point being, high-concept science-fiction shows should be given at least a season to find their footing and to cater the stories they want to tell with the ones the audience wants to hear (or to bring them around). It's a niche genre that's surprisingly hard to sell on TV—given how easily it makes for blockbuster

But if so, then why didn't they just grab him in the first place, instead of getting the girl? Or are you going to say they needed him to get onto the plane so that the other aliens would be able to teleport is so that, oh, forget it. I don't mind having this on in the background, but yeah, FlashForward made much more

At least Fringe is good, right?

Did you mean asstro?

S'what I think, too, but I'm hoping that the creative team can come up with something better than that.

Yeah—the kid even asks Kenny if he wants to see a magic trick; Magic the Gathering, aside from not being a solo game, isn't something you can show someone a "trick" with.

Meet Me in St. Louis
I mean, I'd give 1:1 odds that at least one of those DVDs in the box has been overwritten with data or video testimony from Tom—a "last resort" sort of material with which he intends for Katherine to protect herself.

Peter, my point wasn't to prove something about the A.V. Club; it was to point out exactly what you just concluded—only about your own writing. In any case, you're welcome.

Peter, there's no doubt that the A.V. Club is a business, but it's a respectable one. You claim they gave Todd a high mark simply because it had sidebar ads; how then do you explain the D they gave Outsourced? (http://www.avclub.com/artic…

Peter, I'm so glad you brought your hyperbole to the table. Surely everyone must take you seriously now, since this is clearly the worst show you've ever watched. Were that sincerely true, we can safely assume you've watched such a bare minimum of television so as to disqualify you from making any reasonable judgment,
