I like this show, and my sister who mostly likes crappy TV and traditional sitcoms likes it too, so hopefully that bodes well for its future ratings and renewal chances.  Best new comedy, and the only one I am now watching week to week.

The whole "he controls his healing ability" didn't make sense to me, because (I may be wrong here) didn't his ability originally manifest while he was unconscious, or perhaps even clinically dead, due to a gunshot wound to the head back in the olden days?  And also, didn't it take a while for him to heal and awaken…

Maybe the director is being sincere when he says it's not a film about cinema; maybe it's a film about certain themes and implications that just happen to be raised by cinema and entertainment media - reality vs. artifice, true identity vs. playing a character, etc.  Just sayin' :-)
