My 7 year old nephew finally got into the Muppet Show last year when my sister's family came to visit.  It started when I wanted to show my sister Rita Moreno's sultry "Fever" number with Animal and then we just let the DVD run and he got obsessed.  At one point my nephew came in and said "I want to be Alice Cooper

I lived in a tiny town in the Rocky Mountains, so everyone had HBO because there was nothing else to do.  So even our parents became well versed in Fraggle Rock and gave each other nicknames from the show (like the red-headed engineer in my dad's carpool whom they called Cotterpin).

Scott Tobias, "Sparkle" (1976) was not a Diana Ross vehicle.  Are you perhaps thinking of "Mahogany"?  If "Sparkle" was a vehicle for anybody, it was Aretha Franklin who sang all the songs on the 'soundtrack' album even though she had nothing to do with the film.  I think I may care too much about either version of

Michelle is blunt with the queens but she can trade jabs back and forth, most notably with Sharon.  Santino comes off a bit mean and far off-base in his criticisms and I don't feel the queens are allowed to talk back.  Whenever they do it's treated like a big deal.  Instead they have to go backstage and tell the other

I yelled at the TV, "That's the dumbest thing I ever heard you say and I've heard plenty!"  My husband doesn't like it when I start yelling at the TV when he's sitting right next to me, so I went to the far corner of the living room and continued yelling.  I. Have. Had. It. With. San. Tino.

I was unsure of how I would like Leslie being in the city council, but I love it so far.  Who wouldn't love cutaways to Ethel Beavers?  I thought the back stories for both councilmen were tight: one is a relic of a long past Dixiecrat/anti-integration movement, the other has capitalized on the town's dependence on

Good question!  Maybe both?  I have a hard time believing Carol wouldn't want to share some of those early episodes, especially ones guest starring her good friend Lucille Ball or other icons of Carol's.

We don't call it "The Largo" the way one does with a theater like the Orpheum.  We call it Largo, as one does with a restaurant, like Canter's.

The movie parodies were my favorite, especially her imitation of Joan Crawford and to a lesser extent Bette Davis.  Similar to my experience with SCTV, these parodies have supplanted the original movies in my mind.
Many of the musical numbers were cut for syndication.  They are very hit or miss.  Jean Stapleton

Lyle Waggoner was only in three of the six season produced by Carol's company, which is one reason why he's under-represented in syndication and video.  Tim Conway, although only a regular for the last three season, usually appeared twice a month during the first eight seasons, which is one reason why he gets much
