I would love Drag U coverage.  My husband sometimes rolls his eyes at me because I get too invested in the stories, but it really is change-your-life-TV.  It's nice to see all these queens being kind and supportive, and RuPaul has such incredible insight into others' problems.  And yeah, we get more Latrice, Jujubee,

I'm a huge Joni Mitchell fan, and I can't name any of Taylor Swift's songs off the top of my head although I know I must have heard some on occasion.  However, I don't mind this casting.  I thought Taylor Swift did a good job on SNL, she's an all-around showbiz professional, and she's a good guitar player, which is

I've always loved and respected Chad and Latrice, but somewhere in the middle I became a member of Team Sharon.  However, last night I just fell in LOVE with Chad Michaels.  I want her to win, not just for her looks but also because he's a great person.  I get so frustrated with Michelle's criticism, I feel Chad has

Um, I think you might be giving people the wrong idea about the Doris Day film, "Love Me or Leave Me": "There are plenty of songs, if watching Doris Day singing is your thing.
And, honestly, who doesn’t enjoy a little song and dance from the lovely
Ms. Day?"
The movie is probably her darkest (both in plot and in

I'm just tired of fried chicken always getting pulled into the racism dialogue.  If fried chicken was the worst stereotype anyone had to worry about, the world would be in pretty good shape.  Casually racist stereotypes don't usually bother me, since I usually embody them anyway.  Neglect and ignorance that stem from

But if it is just a dream, I expect to have this news conveyed to me via a showering Patrick Duffy.

I don't want this to be just a dream.  I was expecting to walk into Burger King and really find Mary J. singing on a tabletop.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one.  I actually enjoy half of Tyler Perry's movies, but I wouldn't say anyone looked like they were in one!

I wish they had mentioned rights issues that could not be taken care of with a good lawyer, as visitation and inheritance can.  How about rights to a deceased partner's Social Security, residency for a foreign-born partner, and stronger custodial rights?  Come on Chad, hospital visitation is so 1990.

I have been saying all season they need to include "Untucked" in the critique.  It is nice to see collegiate moments between Sharon and Phi Phi.  Also, when Phi Phi cried during the main show I didn't buy it, but after seeing her talk a little in the gold lounge, I actually felt something for her.  Which says a lot,

I myself exclaimed, "Oh no he didn't!"

I still can't seem to forgive Santino for not liking Pandora Boxx.

I completely agree — what are the chances of there being an Aretha and a Gladys song in consecutive episodes?

Agreed.  Marilyn starred in only in a few great movies, one of which (Some Like It Hot) contains a performance of hers that was completely assembled in editing.  A few are too dull to make it all the way through (Prince and the Showgirl, Seven Year Itch, Let's Make Love).  I would prefer if "Marilyn: The Musical"

Thanks for recommending "This Sporting Life" on TCM.  I saw it last year for the first time and was surprised how great it is.  I was never a huge Richard Harris fan, but I thought his performance was incredible, and he is quite sexy as a rugby player!  I also recommend later in the night on TCM: "Seance on a Wet

drdarke, that was a great summary of what is happening with Dev.  I wish you were writing the show, these things would be much clearer.  I mean that sincerely.  :)

I really wish you would review this show full time.  There was such a noticeable difference.  Your language really captures the essence of the show.  However, I wish you would also have included "Untucked" which was very emotional this week and showed more depth to all of the girls, especially Jiggly who knew she was

I completely agree, especially about Ellis.  They need to figure out what they're going to do with him, and quickly.  Also, the minute they showed him having sex with a woman he lost all credibility.  I can only hope he's going to become an evil bisexual.
I also tire of the plot contrivance of women not being able to

Thanks for mentioning "L-Shaped Room" on TCM.  Actually, it is one of three splendid Kitchen Sink dramas playing tonight (the others are "A Kind of Loving" and "A Taste of Honey") that have never been available on Region 1 DVD.  I also recommend tonight's "Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" but that is readily

For you, Urgh: I'm a man and my fictional tastes tend toward the dangerous men: Stanley Kowalski (played by either Brando or Baldwin), Gaston in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" (though the beast would do nicely, but only in beastly form), and Heathcliff (not the cat, the character in Wuthering Heights) who got me hot
