I could definitely see Emma Stone winning.

He was so great in that. I was so impressed by his performance I rented What Richard Did from the library.

It was about 2/3 of the way through the film and then after that he is in basically every scene.

I would throw Hailee Steinfeld in there. Not the type of movie that usually gets Oscar nos but, Edge of Seventeen and her performance was incredible.

Her nomination for Into the Woods proved they will nominate her for anything.

I always like when the Academy nominates actors who did not have overly dramatic performances so I was fine with their nominations.

I do not know why Viola Davis and Dev Patel are in the supporting categories.

Come to think about it it could be a similar type show in the opposite setting. It could focus on black students going to an elite private university.

If it is basically a new "A Different World" I am all for it.

I watch Frontline, PBS Newshour, Independent Lens, Arts in Context, NYC Arts, Plays when they have them on and Live from the Artists Den when they have a band that I like.

TCM is the other exception.

It really amazes me that we have a President who is proud of the fact that he does not read books.

They also spend a decent amount on the arts. I always thought it was almost cruel that the New York City Ballet performed at the David H Koch Theater.

Yeah at most they will save every American like $2 over the year.

Sixteen Candles would be a bit "problematic" if released today.

It is amazing how many current NBA players who say that Space Jam was why they got into basketball. Zach Lavine and Tyler Ennis have both mentioned it as the reason they became fans of basketball.

My mom is one of the 10 people that watched Michael Strahan's sitcom.

One of my five favorite sports films ever and my favorite basketball film. One of the few sports movies that gets the ego and trash talk down of athletes. And Rosie Perez was a delight in the film. Someone like Michael B Jordan starring would make sense since he played in high school.

It is also annoying that you have to beat the game over and over again.

Do not forget the Lyricist Lounge Show.
