Am I the only one who laughed out loud when Will kissed Mac? I realize it was supposed to be this big dramatic moment, but holy hell Jeff Daniels is bad at on-screen kissing.

The show went from unwatchable in Season 1 to barely passable in Season 2. It's definitely an improvement, but it's still more at the level of a USA show than a prestige drama on HBO.
I would add to the Dexter list the following:
If "not a complete fucking idiot" is what qualifies you for street smart, then Batista needs to rethink his use of that descriptor for Quinn.
I don't understand how Quinn made a fair case about hypocrisy in the department. Have lots of cops there done illegal things? Sure (though Quinn doesn't know about a lot of them). But do we have any reason to think that MILLER has done anything illegal? Much less anything on the same frequency or scale as Quinn's…
Matthews also pointed out that the fact that Miller is a black lady might be playing a role in Batista's decision-making. MVP tonight (maybe all nights, given the competition around Miami Metro).
My favorite moment was when Dexter casually told Jamie "I'll just be out for a couple of hours, sorry to keep you here late ON YOUR BIRTHDAY." How does a young, hot student/supernanny have so little good in her life that her birthday consists of a dinner-time party at her brother's restaurant that ends early enough…
Two Buck Chuck has significantly more subtle notes than this show.
I assume that when/if she pops up again she'll be looking to get one over on Joan as revenge/to prove that she's smarter. Since Joan saved Sherlock this time around, maybe we'll see the opposite next time. We haven't seen Joan truly fall apart yet, she's always the steady presence — I'd like to see what Moriarty…
Wow, I'd never thought of Watson's therapist being Moriarty, but that would have been an amazing twist. I'm a little disappointed they didn't go with that.
I'm a little concerned with its slot next year. It may be staying in the same place but that means it remains up against Scandal, which is getting ridiculous ratings for a 10:00 show, and its lead-in will now be the much less compatible 2.5 Men (which is itself competing with Michael J. Fox's new sitcom).
While it was pretty clear that Irene was going to either be Moriarty or be in league with Moriarty, that didn't really lessen how enjoyable these episodes were. I do think that Natalie Dormer is at this point so typecast as the scheming type that it would be considerably more surprising to see her in a role where she…
The haircut was symbolic of something bigger. In the earlier scene in the car, Mindy was planning to bring a ton of hair products to Haiti, signaling that she was still thinking about Haiti more as a romantic gesture than a real, difficult experience she was committing to. It's obvious that she wasn't going to be…
She was just at the Fox upfronts with her usual hair, so I'm thinking that was a wig.
Loved this episode. For me, this is the right mix of the show's different elements: some rom-com send-ups, a short work storyline that was about the actual work (I laughed out loud at Mindy's reaction to the pregnant patient saying she didn't want any of her children to be better than the others), some significant…
I'd like to think that Homeland's nosedive in quality in season 2 (including Lewis' over-the-top histrionics in every episode, which I found grating and affected) would keep Lewis from repeating this year, but I realize that too may be expecting too much from Emmy voters.
YES. I have gotten past being embarrassed by how much I love a CBS procedural, and now unreservedly tell people this is my favorite thing on TV at the moment (with the possible exception of Game of Thrones). I thought I had ALL THE FEELINGS after that scene last week where Sherlock told Watson that she was the…
I don't fully understand the timing of the Emmy seasons, but I think Breaking Bad's final season won't be eligible for this year, right? Last season was obviously very good, because everything that show does is very good, but I could see the Emmys taking a break from the Cranston love this year if they expect him to…
Yeah, I found that a little weird. In hindsight, I wonder if she didn't see her at first because of the placement of the paintings in the room? I think it's possible Irene was kind of hidden from Watson behind one of the canvases, whereas Sherlock was farther over and could see her. It may also have been that…
It didn't occur to me that Irene might be a hallucination. I thought the music was supposed to be real within the scene, with the volume increasing as they got closer to the studio that was presumably its source, and the way Irene jumped and turned around only when Sherlock half-yelled her name made me think that she…
