yeah, for sure. 2x2hr makes some sense, and I think it will help the show to focus less on case-of-the-week and more on luther-as-antihero.

the rest of the series
gets more and more violent, graphic, and pulpy. it goes a little crazy, really. but it remains highly entertaining.

so yeah, a lot of the characters come off as very unlikeable, especially on first watch. it takes a few episodes, ideally from the back half of last season, to realize that despite their many flaws they're all fundamentally good people.
