For the period?  If so I will go with The Zombies.

I was actually fortunate enough to see this with the director at Copenhagen Film Festival last year.  I don't quite get the muted praise towards it, its hands down in my top 5 films of last year really a fantastic work.

Speaking of fellow Danes Melancholia deserved a nom if they were willing to give ToL one, if not just to have a weird yin-yang going down in film philosophy….and you know its better than anything up in this list.

I'd venture to say though that there are plenty of films made for critics and not the Academy.  Shame this year while a fantastic film and made for an international critical audience clearly contained too much sexual content for the Academy, I'd venture a similar thing happened to Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but its

It was a perfectly respectable year for the movies, I suppose its just that the Academy saw none of them.

Cliffy Kierkegaard is generally pretty witty, unlike the writing on this show.
