I like how easy it is to tell by the comments who's been listening to the Lips since before Yoshimi, and after. Not a judgement, you can just tell that perceptions of the band are different depending on which side of that album you came in on.

I like the subtle camera angles and shots that are meant to sort of mimic how the scenes would work if they were panels in a comic book.

We get it, James. You're very gay. We get it.

Shipping date for pre-orders is 41 days from today.

I can't believe I didn't buy the Trans Canada and Campfire Headphase vinyls back when they were released. What was I thinking? Seeing the re-sale prices in 2013 makes me sad.

Except for one track in the middle of Music Has The Right To Children, it's pretty much peanut butter and chocolate.

Needs more BBBWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPP, imo.

Yes, they called that "tickle time"

Naw it's totally worth watching.

All th CGI shit in the Special Edition/re-release makes the underground society seem huge and expansive which is a turn-off in some ways (5 lane superhighway? fuck off) and a positive in others (the robot assembly line). I don't mind the re-worked version, but I do mind that I can't have both. The claustrophobic feel

Who can we blame for that 2 second shot of the skis underneath the shield?

Great piece, really well written

There's just one place where I'd fit in
(that would be the Congo)

Sounds awesome, gonna check it out.

ALL CAPS when you spell the damn name.

Really subtle use of the electronic elements they were messing around with on this record, and the drum break is awesome.

I've heard awesome electronic scores this year (tho not all released this year)…Oblivion, Upstream Color, Tron, Berberian Sound Studio, Beyond The Black Rainbow…

No, I'm with you. It's a pretty good record…not great, but pretty good. "Barbarella" is a great song and I still include it on road mixes from time to time. Plus he used all sorts of weird old beat boxes on most of the tracks on that album.
