Agreed.  That was an easy fix that they decided to neglect.  Although, it did work cause she was a new mom & really wouldn't have time to go buy a new dress…at least, that's what I came up with.

Here's what I was thinking about the grandfather not being there: it seems like all of this was taking place in the evenings, so he probably watches Marvin during the day and then once one of Marshall/Lilly gets home, he heads to his place/goes gambling or whatever he does with his time.
