Attica! Attica! Attica!
I can remember the first time I saw Dog Day Afternoon. The motive was quite a surprise, to say the least. Great film.

3-D
I've read that Lucas wants to do a 3-D re-release, but how will that work? Clash of the Titans shows the films that are plotted and shot in 2-D do not transfer over the 3-D well. How will Star Wars - a movie shot in the 70s before even red/blue 3-D had becaome marketable ever be adapted to today's 3-D tech?

That news is from the galaxy, but a long time ago.

I think the AV Club commentors (no one in particular) are the kings of bashing/promoting full games with the comment "I played the demo."

Little known fact - Greedo was "juiced" to create a drink for Jabba the Hutt.

Wouldn't 3 discs, one case be a lot simpler? Like 3 times in fact?

You forgot to specify that the VHS needed to be recorded from CBS Saturday night movies, and featuring warped sound from the stop-record cycle used to factor out commercial breaks.

You expect NBC to treat anyone not named Jay Leno well?

What difficulty are you guys playing on? I've been on Realistic (I like my games unlike I like my films), and a well placed shot or two and you're dead. It really makes the stealth aspect a lot more neccesary, and the mark and execute feels much more earned than on other difficulties.

I wouldn't say those are complete sentences, more like two fragments - I think you'd need to add a "When" to the beginning.

Sheesh
Next thing you know they're going to remake it using blue aliens in 3-D!

I agree. In the Times article, Garcia states that he's going to look at future work compared to LOST. I think I already look at TV in that way - it's hard to name another show that has had as much effect on me as LOST has. There are so many reasons I'll be sad to see it go - whether it's the week to week pondering,

I'm already nostalgic
But then again, I turned the donkey wheel, took an Ajira flight, and I've already watched this video in another reality.

Boogie Nights
So glad to see this included (even though this is a Yahoo list). My favorite movie, and one of the best character studies of all time. When I watch it I feel like I'm transported back to the 70s - when sex was safe, pleasure was business, and business was booming.

I think some of them (Three Kings?) may be included because they kind of provide a snapshot of our culture at that time.

The Stand/LOST
I have to agree with Zack on The Stand. My favorite book, and one that really explored "good and evil" in a whole new way. The destruction of society, and the act of rebuilding fascinated me. The first time Stu stands up in front of the assembly crowd in Boulder I could picture it in my head like I was

A white tulip
This was probably my favorite episode of Fringe ever. The scene with Walter and Peck in Peck's lab was so great. I thought Walter's mention of God was a great call back to Peter in which Walter told his assistant, "There's only room for one god in this lab, and it's not yours."
