Just Stop
Alright, I'm tired of it. Sick and tired. Why the fuck can't they just leave well enough alone?
That is the Bay OF Biscayne, thank you very much.
Whatever happend to mbs?
I'm on your side.
Loom was also good. I remember The Dig had an awesome story to - supposedly Spielberg had wanted to make it into a movie, but the special effects would have been outlandishly priced.
Dijonase, you should be repping the whole section.
Late April Fool?
I hope you're kidding about that book…
3-D Debacle
I read that the 3-D in this movie is terrible. It was added post production to a film that was designed for two dimensions. Apparently there are several instances of characters hair and clothing "floating" in the background.
Kids
Easy - LucasArts graphic adventures. I was 9 when I first played the Secret of Monkey Island. I remember ordering it and getting it on the wrong format of floppy discs (I had upgraded to 3.5, not those flimsy 5.25 inchers!), so I had to send it back. But when I finally got the game, I was hooked forever. Whether…
In the early going, the rain storms were often a precursor to the Smoke Monster.
I've also thought of Christian as a seperate entity. After seeing The Substitute, I think Christian is more in line with the mysterious child. Perhaps both are Island representations. I never attached logic to this, so I thank you for that.
I really like that explosivo - would give some creedence to Ben's claim that Widmore wants to exploit the Island for his own gain.
With what we saw last week, it really bring Richard's conversation with Locke last season into a new light. Richard made the statement that he'd been there a long time, but never saw someone come back to life. I saw that as a callback to Richard wanting Jacob to bring his wife back.
Or just some girl-on-girl murder.
It also looked like that 3 years ago.
I actually watched the first 3 seasons on DVD, and I think it improves viewing considerably. Sure, the show should be compelling while on the air, and LOST has done that for the most part. But I look at the show more as a book than a TV show - it's heavily serialized, so you have to keep up, and it's told in centric…
Nice catch on that Punch. The Lloyd/Flagg reference last week was great.
I think the MiB was his original appearance, and those other appirations were not Smokey taking a body, but just manifesting himself as such. I think he was "locked" in the cabin until just recently. As a result, he was only able to manifest as bodies, but now he's free he can take a physical form.
I have to agree - to check out right now would be a little ridiculous. Keep in mind that the writers have had the ending in their minds for awhile. Getting there is the hard part. As Noel mentioned, Lindelf has given an indication that next week things will really change. I said it before, but I don't think LOST has…
