I agree completely agree with you re: Simms as a live analyst - condescending, with frequent, blatantly erroneous observations.  But for some reason (and this is hard for me to reconcile), I really enjoy his commentary on Inside the NFL. Maybe he can calibrate his personality better in a non-live setting.

Thanks - I guess I'll keep it to myself. I appreciate the feedback, especially from someone who raped a Brit in front of her battered hubby while Singing in the Rain - if you say it's pretty graphic, I'll take your word for it. Of course, you're cured now, right?

I seek advice, Little Al - do you think Hanna would be good flick for my smart fairly mature 10 year old son and I to watch?

Patton Oswalt is really an awesome guy - I love his interviews - his nerdy wit, intelligence - on those I give him an A+.  But I just saw the Showtime special tonite, and while I definitely agree with his point of view, and the bits were well-crafted, I just didn't laugh very much - I say B-.  Maybe I needed more

Everything - everything - everything - in its right place

I am really digging the show. Hunter Parrish is doing an unexpectly awesome job. As for Andy, I'm thinking his storyline either presages (a) become more serious and responsible, or (b) falling into nihlism (the latter probably better for the show.

The reasons there were fewer viewers
. . .is becauseAcademy President Tom Shrek kept yelling at everyone, "Get out of my swamp!"

I also hope a book is in the offing (maybe with some interviews? - more work!). This series has been terrific. I grew up in the 70s & 80s in middle-of-nowhere TX listening to this music, and Charley Pride was a fitting endcap - I remember listening to 'Kiss an Angel Good Mornin' on the 8-track in my aunt's orange

Fascinating premise, bland results
I would say - my life.

A friend who traveled in Asia told me that, due to our (over)consumption of dairy products, Americans smelled like overripe cheese.

overg: "I hated the American Psycho book. It's the only book I've ever read where I suddenly felt like a religious conservative (I'm neither). . . ."
