True Grit is so good. Hailee Steinfeld gives what might be my favorite child performance ever.

Ladykillers is the one I'm most mixed on, but even that is hilarious in spurts and features a top notch Tom Hanks performance. These guys are pretty good at making movies.
The Coens are conservative in the sense that they can't help but laugh at pretension of any stripe, and who's more pretentious than liberals?
Guys, guys, guys. Intolerable Cruelty is great.
Was this good? Worth it?
Really sucks that this seems to have turned out as blah as it has. I thought Natalie Portman was fantastic in Black Swan (was it really 5 years ago?) and she's scraped the barrel ever since. Apparently she directed a film in the meantime?
Its aggregation journalism and it's all the rage.
Well I certainly watched the hell out of them
I caught White House Down on cable the other day (it's basically the best cable movie made since Terminator 2) and got so happy when Peter Jacobson popped up in the background. He is a welcome addition to the "that guy" club
Sorry you worked so hard on this bro but uh this is not going to do very well
Wrong. Now they can make it with a white person!
Gotta say, this review made me really kind of want to see this
I think he did. He's been on this a few times before this at least. Might as well make this feature This Week in Demi
You're not really a Michael Mann apologist until you defend Blackhat
Roman Polanski is 82, not 68.
I like these films. David O isn't reinventing the wheel like say, his contemporary Noah Baumbach tries. But he makes competent rom-coms, which pretty much no one else is doing right now. So I'll probably see this.
I wasn't blown away by Birdman either but I loved Biutiful. Iñárritu seems to draw an undue amount of ire so I generally support him as well.
I'd rather give birth to a horse.
I just looked that show up… do the opening titles seriously imply the daughter gets date raped?
Lincoln was awesome.
