I and I'm sure many others on this thread are objectively better looking than the guy Alison Brie is dating. Mind blowing.

Exactly. Theses new guys weren't hired to start a new era of Community, they were hired to create 13 episodes as cheaply as possible.

Yeah it fucking stinks, and NBC is the worst when it comes to this stuff: they fucked Bill Lawrence every chance they got when Scrubs didn't become a hit. Which oh by the way was because they kept moving it on the schedule.

Vulture is reporting that Sony wanted to replace Harmon so badly that they offered the new show runners a percentage of the syndication profits. How common is that?

If NBC didn't want a full season, didn't want to give a non friday slot, and didn't want Harmon than they should have just cancelled the show. It would be like Aerosmith going on tour without Steven Tyler; what would the point be?

I love Dan and Community but you don't get to be one of the most difficult, whiny people in Television unless you have a closet full of Emmys or have a hit show.

I was so surprised that Spirited wasn't on the essential list that I read it three times just to make sure I wasn't somehow missing it. Otherwise a very fine write up.
I don't know, for me it has a little bit of a desperate feel to it: "we've run out of villains so I guess we'll make some of the observers bad."
I agree, by this shows very high standards this was a bit of a mess. Also, for some reason I'm just not looking forward to an Observer war.
Nice catch.
"Appropriately, the book first caught on through word of mouth among children, whose passionate embrace of Wild Things helped it overcome the appalled responses of many parents, critics, and librarians, who banned the book in droves."
I thought the interview was remarkable for the fact that I learned absolutely nothing new about her or her career. Remarkable because she's been giving the same interview for two years now.
"Hey Shato it's Spike Lee. What, oh it's Sharlto with an R? of course it is. Listen I need to cast the villain in my sure to be a fucking disaster Oldboy remake and yours was like… the fourth or fifth name I thought of. So how about it Shalo?"
Song of Susannah was so bad that it actually prevented me from finishing a series I had loved dearly. I just couldn't power through it no matter how hard I tried.
Yeah, my initial reaction was to call it an info dump episode. The whole thing felt a little cheap.
