Well, considering Elementary doesn't have any of those things, I guess we can count you as preferring it to Sherlock.

She isn't a professional mistress. She was an opera singer. Did you even read the original story?

You are wrong.

Second half of the quote that you pulled out of context and completely changed the emphasis on.

The emotional game is not all that mattered. Your just pretending it is because it's the only way you can vindicate Sherlock's sexist portrayal.

That is not what they are saying at all. They are saying that Elementary is higher quality than Sherlock because it has better characters, fewer plot holes and less sexism.

It happens to be true. Elementary makes one bad episode, it's 4% of the show. Sherlock makes a bad episode, it's 33% of the show. And Elementary hasn't done anything as bad as The Hound of Baskerville.

It isn't subtle, it's nonexistent.

If it never becomes part of the main story, it is by definition inessential. Quit trying to redefine words.

"That "botched" phone security very nearly worked, for the record."

She doesn't give up any lifestyle. She's probably still singing opera in America, basking in the glow of having beaten Sherlock.

I'm not accusing, you flat out said it. I am legitimately embarrassed for you.

Except she isn't. She's flat broke and lives in constant fear of being caught by the authorities. ACD Irene is free to do whatever she wants. She won. BBC Irene didn't.

This is seriously embarassing. How anyone can argue that Irene was 'tamed' in the original story because she fell in love and expect to be taken seriously takes some serious blinders.

1. Except in this version it doesn't matter, because he gets them back in the end.
2. Congratulations. You beat up guy with his back turned. How progressive.
3. Except she didn't fool him.
4.He took his time and solved it. Key words: HE SOLVED. SHE LOST. EFFING DEAL.
5. She got the whole plan from Moriartiy.
6. No she

All of those excuses are terrible.

"And it was removed as part of the woman revision."

What you say is true, and the guy using canon fidelity as his sole way of enjoying the series is in the minority. However, 'A study in Pink' is the worst episode you could have chosen to make that point.

I am fine with the Cabbie killing people by reenacting the princess bride, and would be even if it wasn't canon. However, I take issue with Moriarty paying the guy when he is clearly established as killing at random instead of doing assassinations.

I'm quite certain you'll ve able to come up with some examples.
