Does Terry Gilliam count? He seems to have had an idyllic childhood and was class president and prom king to boot. FWIW, Andy Richter was also prom king.
The commercials AMC has been running for the new season spend most of their 30 seconds describing Joan's season-5 arc, so I suspect she will have a prominent plotline this year.
Ssssssssssss… that's the sound of "S."
Bobby asked how old Don was turning, and Don said "40." Then Don asked Bobby how old Don would be when Bobby turned 40. Bobby's immediate answer was, "you'll be dead." He eventually came up with "70."
He, too, was saying what we were all thinking.
I had a hard year.
Perhaps ole Bill will get the fingerbang treatment like his TV sister, except from Peggy this time.
The timing of the reveal reminded me of the pilot. In the pilot, we discover in the last scene that Don is married with kids; in this episode, we discover in the last scene that he's having an affair.
Yeah, I think he was ten in the season 5 premiere (around Don's pretend 40th birthday, when Don asks how old Don will be when Bobby turns 40, Bobby eventually answers "70"). That was in mid '66, so Bobby should be pushing 12 now.
I got more of a Frank Zappa vibe from Abe.
You know, I think Scully's brother Bill was the headphone exec who argued with Peggy about the need for a new ad concept.

I wish Heisenberg had posted this.

Enlivens dull floor!
The Kids in the Hall, maybe? There was a whole constellation of recurring characters who worked for the same corporation (AT&Love). We saw them in and out of work, and sometimes they interacted with other recurring characters.
My grandfather lived for over a year after his diagnosis with pancreatic cancer. Is that preferable? I don't know.
I've read that it's actually one of the slowest growing cancers, but, like the Hero of Akron Canton says, once it's detected it's usually too late. But IIRC, you can have it for a decade before you show the sort of symptoms that send you to a doctor. Perhaps it's treatable in those early years—and perhaps the focus…
Well, John Robie is fucking distracting.
