Yeah, the destruction complaints regarding Man of Steel are a particularly transparent case of "haters gonna hate." The final episode of JLU features an extremely similar fight with an even larger scale, but there's a remarkable lack of bitching about it.

You shouldn't be so hard on yourself, it's only a one sentence post.

A little, but the astrology =\= astronomy thing is way more irritating.

Jumping to conclusions before the film comes out is usually a bad idea, yes, but Daniel Craig really is  too much of a humorless doorstop to be an enjoyable Bond.  The films only serve to prove the point.

"astrological."

Two criticisms: You missed the beautiful and poignant final episode of the series: "The Devils Hands are Idle Playthings." You also listed three episodes that don't exist. That is all.

Suffice it to say I'd rather undergo dental surgery than sit through any live action show in the Adult Swim block. They don't just suck, they're literally painful to watch. Honestly, they're so god awful they can't even be left on mute in the background while I'm waiting for something good to come on. Believe me, your

To each their own, of course, but IMO:

It's good to see Adult Swim getting some competition, especially considering the extent of deterioration they've undergone in the last few years. Venture Brothers and (maybe) Aqua Teen are basically all that's left over there. It's sad.

Well, I was right on 1 out of 2 points. Clearly the issue isn't settled (I find I'm mildly disappointed by that, I need to go rewatch the original Myra episode and see how things fit together), but clearly she DOES know what has and hasn't come out of her uterus. Yikes.

Err, I thought it was pretty well settled that Myra was their mom. She certainly seems to think so, and while she's batshit crazy I'd like to think she at least has some notion of what's come out of her uterus.

I couldn't agree more. From the characters to the voices to the writing to the animation, every aspect of this thing was like nails on a chalkboard to me. I disliked it so much I couldn't even stand to leave it muted in the background while waiting for things to come on after it, and I can't say that about many shows.

*SPOILERS*

Children's lives are just there for our entertainment, but comic book superheroes? Those are SERIOUS BUSINESS!

To be clear, I'm not correlating it with quality. That is, I don't have anything to say about the quality of past Superman films, I just never much enjoyed the character personally.

I wish I liked comics more because I'm sure you're right, and that far more interesting things have been done with the character in that medium. Thanks for the advice, maybe I'll give that a try anyway.

What an angry reply, I wonder if it was growled in Bale's ridiculous Batman voice. It's a pity, everything else about those movies is great.

Superman has (again, in his movie incarnations, I have no experience with the comics) always suffered from being too flawless, too purely good, too invincibly powerful. He's just not a very interesting character, so almost any different take is a welcome thing to my thinking.

So not as "Super-Boyscout" as most of the previous movie takes on the character? Might actually be interesting, then.

CNR may actually be my favorite White Stripes song, despite not being a White Stripes song.
