As the worst series finale in television history, I'm afraid it's going to be discussed for quite some time. For one thing, it makes other pop culture disappointments easier to take. Almost everything seems better when you compare it to BSG's finale.

"I'm pretty surprised too, considering that BSG was so popular"

Seconded, weekly coverage would be great.

90% of the book is either back story or inner monologue, neither of which films well. They really just need to leave well enough alone.

Also:

Good for them.
I can think of no two entities that deserve each other more than Fox News and Sarah Palin.

You're assuming this isn't all in 21's increasingly demented head.

The most depressing part of a largely depressing episode (centered around disposing of a character I quite liked). Am I the only one that thought this whole episode was just a giant downer?

Thanks for infecting everyone else, jackass.

All you have to do is look at the Futurama movies to see clearly that he's out of material there, too. He should either move on to something completely new or just go away.

Huh, the Simpsons found a new shark to jump
Who knew there was one left that it hadn't jumped already?

I'm convinced that Heroes is a victim of the internet
More specifically, it's a victim of its creators having direct, instant access to worldwide audience response. All that scattering, all those dropped plotlines, all the random lurching, it's all (ironically) an attempt to give the fans what they want. The problem

If one enjoys sex with both genders, that's the definition of "bi." Or is the argument here actually that Willow never enjoyed sex with Oz?

"a world where Willow's attracted to men again"
One of the strangest contrivances of this series is the notion that Willow supposedly suddenly became a lesbian. She quite clearly loved Oz, she quite clearly enjoyed sex with Oz, and presumably we can assume that Oz wasn't female, so it's a little unclear to me how she

My, that's quite a lot of trouble to go to to "hide" how god-awful this thing is. It's all for naught, too, because anyone with a brain can see what they're getting from the painful trailers.

Of course it'll suck. Didn't the movies make it clear that they're totally out of ideas, and indeed have nothing more to do with new movies/episodes than fuck up established characters and bastardize their own back story? It's positively Simpsons'esque, right down to trotting every side character ever out so that

A new Alien movie that might not suck?
I never thought we'd see the like again.

Agreed. I already own all the seasons of any of their shows I consider worthwhile (pre-5 ATHF and all of Space Ghost, Harvey, Venture, Brak, Sealab, and Frisky) but I wouldn't mind having several of those pilots on their own disc.

This poor woman…
needs a new agent.

The intent, as I understood it, was to use the fact that Ted had been acting increasingly twitchy in front of Quinn to imply he was on drugs again. Knowing he had a drug habit, knowing that when he was on drugs this is how he behaved, it was as reasonable a thing to exploit as any.
