As a kid, the joke never registered. Re-watching it as a grownup and with context, I was kinda shocked that the writers were willing to bring that up. "Lisa will have sex? Wha?!??"

Travis and Nicole are black so it was a black comedy, no?
We get it. Girl detectives are bitchier than regular detectives.
This is bullshit if it does not include any time to heavy cognac drinking by uncles in Asian weddings in America.
I'm not a big fan of SLP — it's enjoyable but I didn't emotionally connect or care about the characters. Bale and Adams were good but there's some overacting and weird energy (but not the good kind) from Cooper and J-Law but I guess this type of movie calls for it? Renner kind of works as a tragic figure? The villains…
Ha! It's probably a meta comment!
I saw it at a screening last month…the first two-thirds was good but the resolution was wholly unrealistic, confusing and rushed. Granted, it was a preview and Russell probably tinkered with it afterwards. It would be disappointing if you're a pedantic about the ABSCAM scandal. Great music though.
I don't know…the Boyz 4 Now tag was pretty great.
How long were you sitting on that gem?
Speaking of Latino surnames, did anyone see that Latino redshirt in the prison? I was like, where did this guy come from?!
Yeah that was straight out of a many overwritten playsI regret seeing in college.
Yeah, when Hardwick said they're providing counseling to deal with Hershel's death, it reminded me of Louie CK's riff about how we over-dramatize everything these days and talk like we're all in therapy. It's a TV show.
Why when the pre-teen girl suggested to the other kids that they should have guns that she reminded me of Taylor Swift?
Goddamn, you just made me read the wikipedia summary.
Fuck that shit. It bumped Trophy Wife last night.
I don't know why but the way Christine Woods whispered "It's the best" and "Yeah" to cajole Stuart to watch that movie was so seductive.
I thought we were suppose to hate Reflektor because it was appropriating Haitian culture?
I thought he wrote or talked about an incredibly insecure side, such as diving into the depths of AVClub comments which occasionally gets mentioned on his podcast. He talks about his past failures too.
Wow, Arrow is approaching 400 comments? Hmm…maybe I should get on this shit. I mean, from the article photo, Hugh Jackman is reprising his Wolverine role on this show.
Remember the first Phil and Claire anniversary episode? With the random Edward Norton cameo as the bassist for Spandau Ballet? That was fun.
