@avclub-e57f718840a576abbb40a7d046c4e3b0:disqus Serious question: You say "The difference is that I don't see children as human beings. I'm not
being flip or funny here; when I think "person," 7 year olds just don't
come to mind as an example of the type."

Um, no. In this cartoon parody of Hellraiser, it was a Rubik's Cube.

@avclub-6997a8bd0e1042b70b60c5c879a1780e:disqus yes, but what about the LORD of Chaos, Destruction? Of course, he's trying to get better…

One part of "Midsummer" that I always find to be semi-infuriating is that Titania (who was probably banging Morpheus, or had been recently) doesn't even really appreciate what the play means or why Dream had it produced. Stupid ungrateful Faerie.

I want to repeat my questions to the staff from last week: Are we going to be looking at the two Death shorts, and would it be possible to split Kindly Ones into two weeks of discussion?

"Calliope" is a damned unsettling story for anyone who's ever tried their hand at writing; who wouldn't at least be TEMPTED to keep a Muse locked in the attic? After all, its not like she's human… and you'd let her go after the next book… or the next… or the next…

I don't think Rainie's decision is meant to be seen as rational. Death comes pretty close to telling her to lighten up and stop moping and make a life for herself. But Rainie doesn't want to hear it. She's selfish in the way that suicidally depressed people are.

If you suggest Sandman is overrated, what comic series would you say is more deserving of the accolade of Best Ever? I'm not a monthly comic reader, but I read a lot of collections, and have read most of works considered "great" and I think Sandman is hands down the best work in the artform.

Is he a villain? I never saw him that way. He's simply what he is: a puck, an imp of chaos. Can't fault someone for being what they are.

"A Tale of Two Cities" is my favorite short story in the series. Insanely creepy. I've never looked at my city the same way again
