oh right, right. thanks guys! could it be as simple as it's a gilbert ring and he's not a gilbert? i guess not, because it's worked for him so far. maybe being possessed by klaus changed him. has he used the ring since then? so many possibilities, and too many things i can't remember.

i didn't have a problem with it. i thought it had been established that if a supernatural being tries to murder you, the ring will protect you. i didn't think it mattered how the supernatural person did it, or what they used. it could be hitting you with a car, shooting you with a gun, compelling someone else to do it…

this was actually the first episode where i found myself really liking jeremy. he was never one of my favourites. i am sad to see him go now
