Meanwhile, Lorne Greene's Adama outfit from the original Battlestar Galactica is slated to get $25,000 to $30,000. I love OG BSG,but I think they have those amounts backwards.

Looks like he knows how to handle a chakrum.
@avclub-da518aecddbf5c94588f53562012c452:disqus said It's
completely different. First of all, Before Watchmen changes the
characters as presented in Watchmen (Nite Owl killing HJ, for example).
League is an "imaginary story" to use comicspeak. It doesn't claim to
be in continuity with the works if Haggard or…
Woah, I guess this article brought out some Alan Moore fans. Can't you guys at least acknowledge that it's a little hypocritical to shit all over the Watchmen prequels, which take his characters and re-envision them in new situations, when League of Extraordinary Gentlemen took various other writers' characters and…
Yes, I believe "Shark Raving Mad" is the winner.
So the trailer for next week suggested someone is going to die. Anybody else think it's going to be Kenya?
Well I'm pretty sure I'm not going to read these if they're just going to consist of 13 essays on Why Dexter Blows. I'd rather read someone who at least SORT of likes the show than someone filled with contempt for it.
I'll occasionally use this line from Giant Spider Invasion (with Alan Hale Jr.):
SANDSTORM…
"Nastya, will you marry me?"
Oh man, I love Invasion of the Neptune Men. Krankor! Ah-hah-hah-hah!
Damn, somebody beat me to creating a 'Blast From Your Past' comedy commentator!
It's funny you mention pre-VCR days—an episode of The Greatest American Hero was the first thing ever videotaped at my house. I wanted to (a) see how this fancy VCR thing my Dad just purchased worked; and (b) re-watch GMH during the week!
The thing about Flash is that it came about due to Tim Burton's success with Batman in 1989, and it tried too hard to copy the tone of that film. I think it even had Danny Elfman compose its theme song. Mark Hamill's appearances were pretty good though.
Williams' performance evokes Green Bay Packer coaching legend Vince Lombardi? I am intrigued.
I really appreciate Ween's musicality, and I hate 4 Non Blondes, but I'd still listen to What's Up? for 48 24 2 hours straight before I'd listen to Push Th' Little Daisies again. Like nails on a chalkboard.
I didn't realize until I read this thread that this criticism of Bioshock existed. How strange. The game immediately telegraphs that Ryan's ideals are a failure because Rapture is a graveyard by the time the player arrives at the start of the game. The only time the player is even asked to empathize with Andrew…
Have to agree with Archmage on this; libertarians are plenty sympathetic. To them, less regulatory interference means more job creation, higher wages, prosperity, etc. etc. They think that's the best way to help people.
More than one person is complaining about the FBI guys being really cliche, but I didn't see them that way. They were being "obstructionist," definitely, but their reasons made perfect sense—there'd be no way to get a helicopter to the location with the storm going on. And they're right when they say if Longmire had…
I think you're right, E.L. I'd like AV Club to keep reviewing this show, but I don't want Handlen to do the reviewing. I like Handlen's writing, but he clearly doesn't like the show and that would simply not be fun to read on a weekly basis.
